Summary

It’s been three years, two weeks and one day since Kate Shaw’s life changed forever. Three years, two weeks and one day that Kate has been angry – with herself and life.

But today is different. Different because Kate has finally taken the step she’s been avoiding…back into the kitchen. Now, what begins as a (disastrous) attempt to make pancakes becomes a culinary journey that is not only a love letter to someone so important to her, but also an unexpected means of connection to a community she never knew she had…

Beautiful story

Such a lovely book. Funny, emotional and sweet. Highly recommend although it did have me tearing up at one point.

Heart Warming & Easy Listening

A lovely story, easy to follow- I love the simpler less dramatic story lines and this was perfect!

It did so much more!

I chose this on a whim for Book Club based on the idea of a series my 9 year old daughter watches where 3 friends bake and create recipes together. Thinking it’ll be an easy and light-hearted read…I was incredibly wrong and I’m pleased I was. This book touched on so many elements that are current in my life and could speak to many that are in yours too. Thank you Sue, this was the book I never knew I needed!

Quite Depressing!

Very predictable! Too much repetition and constant talk of illness and death just too depressing! Not for me.
