About this listen
FNH Audio presents an unabridged reading of H.P. Lovecrafts The Shadow Out of Time.
Professor Nathaniel Wingate is mad, or was mad, or is becoming mad and he doesn't know which. A few years ago he feinted and woke up a different person, years later after a second feint he was himself again. He had no memory of the time between the feints, and began an investigation into his own actions during that time. What he found was inexplicable and horrifying. His investigation that would lead to revelation and a horror that would shake his mind, and set the future of mankind.
The Shadow out of time was written in 1935 and was first published in the June 1936 edition of Astounding Stories magazine. It has become a classic of Science Fiction Horror and often cited as one of Lovecraft's finest works.
