Great story, best so far
This story was the most interesting so far and also the most well read. As usual, the inspector gets his man but not until he's followed a few red herrings!

Leman hit on the head again
The story was as always very good, but I do wish that he could find some other way to put sgt Leman out of the game for while.

Most enjoyable
A detective story of the classical genre with lots of red herrings. Just right for a light holiday read. This is the first 'railway detective' book I have read and it won't be the last!

Silver tongue
I am enjoying all of the Railway Detective books. Very morish. One is definitely not enough.

Poor on all counts.
The narrator is a seasoned reader but his reading of these Railway mysteries made me wince. His accents are not good. Very disappointed. Have up after 9 chapters.

bad writing and narration
dire book and over-important narration. unfortunately I have two of this awful series, both of which I shall delete.
