About this listen
Complete six-book collection for one great price
From multiple-time Amazon number one best-selling author of over 40 books, Iain Rob Wright.
It's spreading....
The Scottish Highlands: a sparse, mountainous region some say was carved by the gods themselves. Few places are as untouched as this harsh, prehistoric landscape. It is no place for man. But nestled deep within the wilderness lies a cottage, and behind that cottage is a hill....
When Ryan Cartwright and a group of his closest friends hire a tiny cottage in the windswept Scottish Highlands to celebrate his upcoming wedding, they get more than they bargained for. Along with the deathly chill and the unforgiving landscape, they are about to discover something unimaginably ancient and unbelievably wicked.
With the party heating up, Ryan's childhood friend, "Mad fer it" Sean, fills his body with lager and pills, pushing everybody's patience to their limits, but the real party is yet to begin. You see, something else has gotten inside of Sean's bloodstream, something far more toxic than the booze and drugs. Something that is at first invisible, but slowly begins to grow...and spread...and kill.
If you love claustrophobic horror with an unhealthy dose of body-horror, then The Spread will knock your socks off. Get the complete six-book collection now and enjoy the entire story.

Exciting and emotive from start to finish!
Wow, what a bargain you get here - 6 books for one credit, a brilliant alien invasion apocalypse story with non-stop action and a great narrator. you become quickly invested in the characters, their personalities (which are portrayed excellently by the narrator), their relationships and their stories.
I loved this from start to finish and a shout out that it mentioned my home town of Stoke! I don't come across that very often at all!
it's very rare that I shed a tear at a book but I did have one rolling down my face near the end of book 6.
however there were too many laugh out loud moments to mention too, from start to finish.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough!
Try it, you might just find that you love it!

A truly British apocalyptic story
I love listening to apocalyptic stories but this is the first really British interpretation of the end of the world. Yes, it is corny, coincidental and comedic in places but the characters wound themselves into my heart and I truly will miss them and their adventures. There was seepage of philosophy, politics and even yoga but all done with heaps of British humour, tolerance and compassion. The start was a bit off- putting, some of the accents stereotypes but a great, great listen.

Apocalyptic Love
Some of the most loveable characters I've ever experienced, all in a story that played my emotions like a fiddle from start to finish. Wouldn't have had it any other way.

Fantastic Characters, Plot & Story
When I first started listening I didn’t think it would be my cup of tea but I thought no give it a try. Wow am l glad I did the characters are amazing so real and strong and you can really identify with them, the plot and many story lines are riveting you just can’t stop listening, the story is really scary sometimes touching and utterly exciting it really keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s something that you could really believe could happen and the way it affects different people is frighteningly believable and plausible. I would highly recommend anyone who loves a good chilling scary story with totally believable characters who are just like me and you to give the a go, don’t be put off at the start like l nearly was, because once it gets going it’s like a runaway train it takes you along on a hair raising ride and you won’t want to get off. Plus the narrator does an excellent job of bringing each character male or female to life all with different accents and dialects. A true gem of a story easily as good as King, Koontz or Herbert my all time favourite authors and now l’ve added Ian Rob Wright to that list as well. A must read for all horror/ thriller fans.

I absolutely loved this book series!!
The characters are well written, I have laughed, I have screamed, I have sobbed and grieved losses
The story is great and really pulls you in and keeps you going and the Narrator is so perfect for this book, after all these hours listening I am gonna miss his voice 😂
Would recommend if you like apocalyptic type story writing filled with how humanity can do so much good and also sink so low
