Summary

THE NEW UNSTOPPABLE THRILLER FROM THE RICHARD AND JUDY BOOK CLUB AUTHOR

_______________________

When you've got a house to die for

Be careful who you let in . . .

Colette spends a lot of her time at Addison Square, one of the most desirable addresses in West London.

She knows the place and the people better than anyone. But the wealthy residents she works for can barely remember her name.

Which is unfortunate, because Colette knows all about them.

She sees all their secrets.

Even the ones they'd kill to protect.

Critic reviews

Richly written and bristling with suspense. Celia Walden is masterful. (PATRICIA CORNWELL)

I loved Colette's relatable yet unique perspective of the privileged residents who can't even remember her name. This engaging, engrossing thriller is perfect for fans of The Maid. (ALLIE REYNOLDS, author of SHIVER)

Utterly enthralling. Plunges you into a world of secrets, deception and simmering menace. I was captivated from the start and didn't want it to end (BP WALTER, author of THE DINNER GUEST)

What you think you see or sense is not always the truth

Stories like this reminds us it’s easy to make assumptions. It’s a good story, likeable or relatable characters. Whilst I enjoyed this read, Payday packed more punch :)

A really engaging listen with lots of twists

Really enjoyed this - a great story, well-written with very believable characters, and really well read by the narrator. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I saw the ending coming a mile off, but it was a very enjoyable listen.

Gripping

Plenty of unexpected twists and turns make this a gripping listen. A minor criticism would be that a couple of the characters were a little too nasty to be completely believable.

Too bland for me.

After reading the reviews, I gave it a go!
I struggled to finish the book, as it was too predictable for me, I guessed the plot quickly.
It was described as psychological, it was more Miss Marple for me, sorry, a waste of a credit.

Could have done better.

I thoroughly enjoyed Payday but this book is a wet weekend in comparison. Such a shame as l had such high hopes and wanted to enjoy The Square.
Spend your hard earned money on something else.

Nothing springs to mind.

I enjoyed the first book very much. This one is not nearly so good. Had to really persevere. Not gripping like K L Slater or Lisa Jewell.
