Solid and fun, not Tolstoy but honestly, who wants to plow through Russian angst nowadays?
I prefer my escapism to be a positive factor on my mood and I will buy book No. 2 when he release it.
Good Space Opera with classic Military bent

Not really a fan of how the story tends towards a "Dances with Wolves" romance; some scenes that should lead to interesting action packed moments are skipped over entirely from them being placed at the end of the chapter before leading into the next once the excitement is over, until the finale where the action is the focus; the narrator was serviceable but gave some important secondary characters voices that sounded a bit too similar, making it a little awkward to tell them apart unless mentioned by name.
Definitely something different to give a try if you're looking for alien space stories without a big IP name attached to it.
