Summary
The sequel to The Rookie, The Starter is a star-spanning coming-of-age space opera combined with the gritty world of organized crime, all set against a backdrop of a far-future professional football league. Nineteen-year-old second-year quarterback Quentin Barnes has overcome racism and unified his team. He led the Ionath Krakens to a lower-tier championship, a championship that earned them promotion into the meat grinder known as "Tier One."

Read the stories the he writes!
I'm not a sports fan (shut up!you don't know me!) but I have been gripped and entertained thoroughly by FDO with his portrayal of every character and his time spent in creating a whole universe of future history and races. keep them coming and I'll keep listening.

Continues to get better
What a series, the continuing story of Quentin Barnes as he discovers the galaxy while playing football. The descriptions, characters and story and captivating and keep you hooked right through to the end.

Great group of books and concept! Work of a genius 👍🏽
Love Scott Siglers work especially when he narrates also! GFL is by far my favourite and cannot wait for the next book. Keep up the good work!

picks up where the rookie left off not just what's on the field gets interesting and once again elder Barnes is on top form
