fantastic book

I really enjoyed this audio book. The mesh of stories complimented each other and the authors descriptive skills were excellent. the narration of all characters really brought them to life. It's the best I've listened to for a long time.

Absolutely fabulous

This was my first Jodi Picoult novel and I've immediately downloaded another. The story was gripping, I didn't want to put it down.

A must read....

If you could sum up The Storyteller in three words, what would they be?

Excellent believable thoughtful

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Storyteller?

The grandmothers story of the german camps.....I had no idea!

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I like the way each person became alive

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Don,t listen to it at night.....you won,t sleep......too much for one sitting

Any additional comments?

My fav bit was the song for her mothers funeral.......sort of thing that would happen to me

A stunning book, gentle and eloquent yet gripping.

Where does The Storyteller rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the very best. It works on many levels and is as much about the role of story as the story itself.

What other book might you compare The Storyteller to, and why?

`I find that difficult to answer, because of the narrative of the process of story, the allegories, as well as the challenge of the subject matter.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A story of the impossibility of moral exactitude and victory of the human spirit through the greatest adversity.

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyable, fabulous blend of characters, fiction within fiction, great plot and sensitive, compulsive narrative. Loved it.

Kept my interest to the last.

A moving book with 3 dimensional characters. The horrors, contradictions, suffering, kindness, selfishness & selflessness of the human spirit beautifully captured.

Captivating

Not my usual genre, but this book will stay with me. Gripping and held my interest, I listened to the whole thing in a few days. The holocaust story was fascinating and heartbreaking and felt so real, I can picture it easily as the descriptions were so clear. I will re listen many times I’m sure and highly recommend

Simply The Best Book I have read!

From the beginning it hooks you. The characters are fascinating and I honestly felt I was missing them when I had to stop listening to the book inbetween opportunities to listen. I don't want it to end. Harrowing at times, addictive yes, beautiful throughout. Thank you JP!
