A thorough insight into one of worlds best actors and his approach to life. He seems totally unspoilt by his fame and fortune and still finds acting 'fun'.

the Enigmatic actor

Although not an autobiography it gave me a good insight into the life and character of Tom Hanks. The audio was also excellent.

Excellent story

An interesting and inspirational insight into the Actors very private life but in a way that still leaves it private.

Gripping and inspirational,

Disappointing. All information taken from interviews, magazines and so on. Tom is great and it’s interesting hearing about his life but felt like this was a bit of a cash grab

Nothing exciting

What would have made The Tom Hanks Enigma better?

The guy who is reading sounds like a Sat-Nav I honestly think it could be an artificial voice if he wasn't reading it I'm sure it would be bearable
If I could get my money back I would

If you’ve listened to books by David Gardner before, how does this one compare?

N/A

How could the performance have been better?

Could have sounded like a human and put some emotion in to his voice

What character would you cut from The Tom Hanks Enigma?

N/A

Any additional comments?

My mistake I should have listened before I purchased

The biography is quite interesting but too long for my liking and a bit repetitive. I didn't actually get to the end as I just couldn't listen to the narrator any longer without falling asleep. This is the 2nd biog I have disliked due to poor narration, the other one being of Hugh Laurie. Why highly paid actors allow their stories to be told by droning robots is beyond me. In contrast, Alan Cummings Autobiography is excellent and he reads it himself.

too long and a boring narrator

More like a film review than a biography, love Tom Hanks but not the book
