Summary

In the idyllic town of Middle Falls, Oregon, a peculiar phenomenon unfolds—those who die but are not prepared to move on open their eyes again at a pivotal juncture in their past lives, all memories of their first life intact.

That includes Hattie Kildare. After dying in 2008, Hattie awakens as a teenager in 1943, back in a world gripped by the chaos of World War II.

Amidst the echoes of conflict and the specter of loss, she is reunited with Jimmy, her beloved first boyfriend lost to the war in her first life. As she grapples with the weight of her newfound reality, Hattie embarks on a poignant quest to rewrite the fabric of history and save both Jimmy and her little sister, Jackie, from the clutches of fate.

Against the backdrop of a nation at war and a community united in sacrifice, The Topsy-Turvy Lives of Hattie Kildare paints a vivid portrait of resilience, love, and the enduring power of hope in the face of adversity. Join Hattie Kildare on a poignant journey through time, where second chances abound and redemption is always possible.

The Topsy-Turvy Lives of Hattie Kildare is the twentieth book in the Middle Falls Time Travel series. Like all Middle Falls books, it is a standalone novel that can be listened to in any order.

The Topsy-Turvy Lives Of Hattie Kildare

For a story set in the grip of world war 2 it really didn’t paint a picture of wartime living. I felt quite let down by that. My two favourite genres are Time Travel and ww2. The story was ok but Hattie was quite boring to be honest. Now wow factor. Not one of his better books. The narration was good.
