Summary

A second life in America might not be one he expects. Albert Morris has a lot to leave behind. Bitten by the one and only Jack the Ripper in Whitechapel, his wound changed his world forever as it morphed him into a Victorian vampire. Determined not to let his new cravings get the better of him, he compromises by only feeding on the criminals, the ones he feels deserve it. Even so, being considered a monster by much of society has taken its toll. When he loses all his human friends, he sets off across the great pond to America. His troubles don’t end there. The New York Vampire coven is hellbent on controlling him, despite help from a fellow Vampire from Bristol. Desperately clinging to a shred of normal life, Albert starts a new business and finds love, but a series of events cuts a bloody path through his plans, as once again vampires are trying to pull him back into their world and will use any means necessary.

Vampire across the pond.

A great addition to this Victorian Vampire series from Nick James. Albert Morris goes to the United States to start a new life, or is it death? He opens a Vampire themed bar and discovers love. But the New York Vampire Coven tries to take over him. Great characters and a crazy plot make this a must listen. The introduction of witches to the story makes for an interesting twist. James Meunier does a fantastic job of the narration and breathes life into every character. Highly Recommended.
