Classic Vorkosigan

Lots of political intrigue - but just enough detail ( The Honor Harrington books can sometimes have too much detail methinks) - and the bare minimum of technical dissertation. Perhaps not enough ship to ship and fleet to fleet engagements for those with a more military s.f. bent. This is character-driven story-telling at its best, with some sparkling dialogue and description thrown in - just set in a spacefaring context - and all the better for it.
Rapidly becoming my favourite space opera series

A very good audiobook of a great Bujold novel

I tend to like Grover Gardner's readings of the Vorkosigan series, by there is one negative I noticed. His pronunciation of characters' names, places and other non-Real-Life words changes from novel to novel in this series. Not the worst thing, but it did make me prick up my ears every time. At least he is consistent within one novel.
Action packed installment
