Summary

The debut crime thriller series of the year!

Four missing children, three murdered men and the helm of a boat with a blood-red sail, hiding a secret only he can tell.

Returning to the Broads after nearly two years at sea, John Tanner moors up next to a boat to find the body of a man whose five-year-old daughter is nowhere to be seen. As a torrent of unwanted memories begins flooding through his mind, an attractive Broads Ranger arrives at the scene with a disturbing tale; one of children being taken by a ghostly figure, standing at the helm of an old wooden boat.

Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance which will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

The Wherryman is a totally addictive gripping crime thriller, the sixth in a chilling series of serial killer books, ones which will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd and J M Dalgliesh into David Blake devotees.

The Wherryman

A very well structured story which left the reader considering various options until the last moment. Thoroughly enjoyed the book which brought back memories of my time living in Norfolk

Great Mystery

Another great Tanner mystery. I thought I saw the ending coming half way through but a great twist in the storyline showed otherwise. Great characterisation once again by Jonathan Keeble.

Still loving these books

Another corker in the series. A great plot with interesting characters. And, as always, faultless narration from Mr Keeble.

Another great Norfolk Broads thriller

Great story and wonderful narration. Had me committed from the start and then I had to keep reading/listening until the climax. Can't wait for the next one!

Riveting as always

I have read the whole of this series so far and thought that it would never be as good again without Jenny. I am glad to say that I was mistaken. A riveting tale with excellent narration by Jonathan Keeble.

Lightweight but entertaining

If you are looking for a decent enough story that moves at a good pace and is well narrated this fits the bill. It’s not great literature but it is good entertainment.
