The story of a young farmer, a wishing ring, and a fairy named Queen Maab. This is old school fairytale telling at its very finest.

Not my usual listen, but I'm really pleased I gave it a chance

A typical fairy tale with a happy ending, that proves you make your own luck, and what you achieve in life, is achieved through the effort you put in

I loved this book

This was a great story and reminded me of the tales the Seanchaí tell. I'm Irish, so this reminds me of the old stories you'd hear from the Irish storytellers. It transported me back to a pub I went to that had a Seanchaí one night, and I loved it!!!

The basic premise is that there is a young farmer, a wishing ring, and a fairy named Queen Maab. You know accepting anything from the Fae folk will come with problems, so when a young farmer accepts the ring, I knew something would happen. But even so, I was surprised with what the author did!!

There isn't much I can say about the plot because it's so short and I'll ruin it, so all I'll say is that is was well written and the author managed to pack a lot into such a short read. I even found myself becoming invested in the farmer and his wife.

In all, a well written tale and I would love to see more short snippets like this. Highly recommend.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Great short story!
