About this listen

Poor Mr. Swimble is having a bad day. Rabbits are bouncing out of his hat, pigeons are flying out of his jacket and every time he points his finger, something magically appears - cheese sandwiches, socks...even a small yellow elephant on wheels! It's becoming a real nuisance - and he's allergic to rabbits.

His friends at the Magic Rectangle can't help, but the mysterious vacuum cleaner he saw that morning may have something to do with it....

Fourteen fantastically funny stories from master storyteller Sir Terry Pratchett, full of food fights, pirates, wizards and crooks!

Lovely stories, great characters particularly liked the money island. Such a brilliant mind taken from us far to soon.

The stories are fun, silly, good for 7/8 year olds.
The narration is excellent.
Young Pratchett is not the level of clever that I've come to expect from mature Pratchett, but for kids, these stories are pretty good entertainment.

Pretty good

Playing this to my grandchildren on a particularly long and fraught car journey, they are oblivious to anything other than these stories. A great way to introduce them to the passage of rights that will bring them eventually to the Disc-world. I look forward to joining them on a magical journey.

Turn your kids on to the world of Terry Prattchet

I am such a Terry Pratchett fan, but publishing this selection of short stories is really doing the great man a disservice. They stories are fine - for what they were originally intended - a weekly slot in a small newspaper (I believe), but to gather them together and release them as 'fantastically funny' is an insult to the a wonderful writer who had integrity, something that his publishers obviously missed out on.

If anything they might suit a very young child.

Very sad to give such a poor review
