About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Murder, politics and intrigue.
When the young half-goblin emperor Maia sought to learn who had set the bombs that killed his father and half-brothers, he turned to an obscure resident of his Court, a Prelate of Ulis and a Witness for the Dead.
Thara Celehar found the truth, though it did him no good to discover it. Now he lives in the City of Amalo, far from the Court though not exactly in exile. He has not escaped from politics, but his position gives him the ability to serve the common people of the city, which is his preference.
He lives modestly, but his decency and fundamental honestly will not permit him to live quietly.

The Witness for the dead.
Following on from the superlative “The Goblin Emperor”, this is really well written and well read. Imaginative, a fascinating world with much depth.

it's not bad
it's not a bad book, but it pales in comparison to the goblin emperor.

terrible narrator
great book. pales in comparison to goblin emperor but still enjoyable fare. my issue was halfway thru I had to switch over to the physical copy as the narrators performance is terrible; it's like they keep stopping at random intervals throughout each sentence, over emphasizing the wrong sections, doing voices that don't match the tone or scene or even character. very frustrating after the amazing goblin emperor performance.
