This audiobook is a breath of fresh air if you’re trying to manage life with ADHD. It doesn’t feel like a lecture or a list of things you “should” be doing. Instead, it offers simple, real-life tools that actually make sense for someone juggling distractions, responsibilities, and the ups and downs that come with ADHD.

The narrator is clear and easy to listen to, and the tone is encouraging. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed or have been dealing with ADHD for years, this gives you practical ways to feel more in control of your day-to-day life.

I downloaded this after years of trying productivity systems that just made me feel more broken when I couldn't stick to them. The narrator's tone is encouraging without being condescending, which helped during chapters about my biggest struggles. What changed everything was understanding that my brain works differently, not worse than everyone else's. The organization hacks are actually sustainable instead of requiring perfection I'll never achieve. My kids stopped getting frustrated with my scattered parenting once I implemented the focus techniques during family time. The personal development section helped me stop beating myself up for needing different approaches than neurotypical people. My relationship with my partner improved once I started using the communication strategies. This gave me permission to work with my ADHD instead of constantly fighting against it.

I've watched my friend struggle for years, and my own "just make a list" advice always felt so useless. This book was like being handed a pair of glasses I didn't know I needed; it didn't just list symptoms, it painted a vivid picture of the internal monologue and the constant effort required just to stay afloat. The strategies made so much sense, explaining why my friend's approach has to be different from mine, and it replaced my own quiet frustration with a genuine sense of awe for what they navigate every day. Lisa Holloway's narration was perfect—her calm, compassionate tone made the information feel deeply human and relatable. I’d recommend this not only to people with ADHD, but to anyone who loves someone with it and wants to be a better, more supportive friend.

Dealt with ADHD for 24 years… the hardest part by far is struggling to find the right lifestyle changes to make every part of my life easier. This book is so incredibly comprehensive and covers areas such as parenting, cleaning, and handling work. There’s a lot more covered, but these three especially helped create the most difference for me. I’m so touched by the authors effort in this book, and I truly feel that every person with ADHD should pick this book up. The author was so warm and inviting with their words, and the narration Was pretty good too. This audiobook was good enough that I turned around and bought the paper back. Listening to it was definitely easy, and I want to have something that I can quick reference all the time in my home. Thank you, Reese for a fantastic book. I received this book on audible for free, but I definitely would have bought it with my own money.

What stood out to me was how this book framed ADHD not as a flaw to fix, but something to understand and work with. It gave me language for things I couldn’t quite explain before; like task paralysis or the need for structure that doesn’t feel rigid. It’s helped in ways I didn’t expect.

As an adult with ADHD, I’ve read a ton but this one actually gave me practical things I could do without feeling overwhelmed. It’s broken into sections that make it easy to jump around based on what you need, parenting tips, home hacks, focus strategies. I’ve already seen a difference in how I manage my day and stay calmer with my kids. It doesn’t expect perfection, it helps you work with your brain, not against it. Super helpful and realistic.
