Summary

For Thor to live, Thunder Hunter must die.

A thousand years, that's how long I've been hunting the Fallen Ones that escaped Freya's field. One-hundred and ninety-five down, five to go. Just five disgusting evil spirits until I die and Thor's thunder will be returned to him. Nothing will stand in the way of me completing my mission, not even the woman who claims to be a descendant of Freya. I will kill the next Fallen One, no matter what.

Vikings, Gods and evils in today's world.

I did not quite know what to expect when I started listing to this book, what I got was an awesome story following the tea drinking Viking the Thunderhunter. Rachel Medhurst crafts an interesting world where the Gods and evil things that go bump in the night can meddle in the world and people's lives.

Ian Fisher got the narration just right, the main character's voice is just perfect for them and as they are the viewpoint character it enhances the whole experience.

All in all an interesting listen, I am more than happy with the time I spent listing to this book.
The main plot of the book is resolved nicely but enough is left open to leave me wanting to findout what happens in the next book. A strong start to the Viking Soul Series.

The Blood of Thor cleansing the world of evil

What did you like most about Thunder Hunter?

I really liked how Trygger warmed up to and trained Chloe.I mean how do you say no to a Goddess?

What other book might you compare Thunder Hunter to, and why?

Thats quite difficult but if I had to Id say some elements were like Cassandra Clare's Mortal instruments series in the way that there is a shadow world and only a specific weapon can vanquish the evil.In this case send the Dark evil spirits back to Freya's fields where they escaped from a thousand years ago.Trygger ( Thor's Grandson ) is tasked by Freya to do this,If he does then he may die as a mortal and come to live with the Gods. This happens after Loki's plot to kill his foster brother Thor and steal his thunder goes awry .It has the Dark under word of London that the Fallen ones(evil dudes)run around in .that is until Trygger catches up to them...95 down 5 left to go.

What does Ian Fisher bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

What I did enjoy of course is the performance, there are some narrators who you know aren't going to let you down. Their voices, attention to tone and story telling are great, you can put the book on and know you're getting the right everything for your money.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Blood of Thor...The Gods still Live
