About this listen
Taken hostage by terrorists, an archaeologist must risk everything when a SEAL attempts to rescue her too soon....
Archaeologist Diana Edwards is on a mission to uncover the link between artifact trafficking and terrorism. Just when she’s making progress, she’s kidnapped and forced to work for the very people she’s trying to stop. The nightmare deepens when she discovers the man who arranged her abduction is a terrorist everyone believes to be dead. A team of SEALs is sent in to save her, forcing her to make an impossible choice if she wants to stop looted artifacts from being used to fund brutal attacks across the globe.
Navy SEAL Chris Flyte has one job to do, but the hostage won’t cooperate, endangering him and everyone on his team. After he completes the mission and Diana is safely on American soil, her story of abduction and being forced to dig becomes suspect. But when she shows up on his doorstep saying she’s seen one of her abductors, Chris has to wonder if the archaeologist is lying, or if a terrorist has followed her home.

Brilliantly written and performed
I’ve forgotten how much I love this genre so when I was offered a chance to review this book I jumped at the opportunity.
I could definitely add this book to a must re-listen audio and I have listened to it several times already. Yes it’s that amazing!
Rachel Grant knows how to write compelling and complex stories with characters that own your heart while you listen or read them.
Back when I first got into audiobooks I listened to everything I could but especially loved romantic suspense and Rachel Grant is at the top of a few authors who take their audience on an amazing adventure. With Trust Me she has renewed my passion for the genre.
In this latest book, we meet up with Archeologist Diana Edwards who is smart, sassy and savvy. She is taken hostage right after the start of the book and we’re on a wild adventure after that!
Diana had been trying to get information on who is stealing artifacts and using the proceeds to fund terrorism but has been found out and stolen away by none other than those she was seeking out. Clear headed and still strongly wanting to find out who is behind all the treachery and destruction she has witnessed while working under cover has her following her abductors when the navy seals are right there trying to save her!
Then the real danger starts. When Navy Seal, Chris Flyte sees the woman he was sent to save waving him off to follow her adductors he can’t believe what he is seeing. What is wrong with the woman? is she part of this terrorizing group or is she a prisoner.
This is where the adventure begins and it starts a game of who does one trust. But it’s a deadly journey for all involved and will the navy seals come for her again when she takes matters into her own hands trying to locate the real kingpin who has successfully evaded the law. Will she survive her captivity and how will she proceed doing what she’s told to do in this fast action series and who will save her again when she so blatantly fails to try getting herself to safety.
Chris Flyte isn’t sure he will trust Diana Edwards yet has a compelling want to help her and works at finding her again when her abductors have taken her. His heart tells him to trust her. Plus her friends believe in her fully. Will Uncle Sam believe her or will they condemn her?
This story is brilliantly written and captures the essence of what each character goes through. And Rachel is a genius at blending in every aspect with detail so that it’s like listening to a movie being acted out in your minds eye.
Yes there is romance, hard won by two people who have each had horrible pasts that have made them weary, yet who are so completely right for one another. This story shows how the human heart wants to trust and believe in one another and I loved everything about it.
Brilliantly written and beautifully performed by stellar actors in an audiobook that jumps from the book and takes hold of you for an adventure well worth listening to. No wonder why Rachel Grant is a top author of this genre winning accolades for her work. Brilliant!

Thrilling book
What an absolutely thrilling book. Diana is an archeologist working in Jordan and is kidnapped. Chris is a member of the Seal team sent to rescue her, but the rescue doesn’t go to plan. The authorities perception of Diana is changed and she’s now one of the hunted. Can Chris save her a second time. This isn’t my usual type of book but I’m so glad I took a chance. This book is edge of the seat stuff. My heart was racing when listening to it. I absolutely loved it.

Thrilling book
What an amazing story especially the fact that the author knows what she’s writing about. I was hooked from the first page to the last. It was full of drama, suspense and wonderful characters some of who we’ve previously met in other series. Once you connect the characters and then the plot the whole story comes alive for you. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the story towards the end. I knew there’d be drama but the way it played out was very clever. I loved the way you concluded this story. I cannot wait for the next book now. The narration was fabulous too.

Chris & Diana
This audiobook was so good!!! I was entranced whilst listening, it just kept me at the edge of my seat and unable to press stop in the story.
Diana was selfless, strong and unstoppable. Her love for archeological artefacts had no limit and neither did her willingness to fight for the preservation of history. This was almost her undoing. Chris was a warrior and a lover that had been dealt a bad card at love, but not once was he bitter. When fate brings Diana and Chris together, not once but twice, under the worst circumstances it’s the third meet that finally brings them together, sizzling. Their story is so much more than a string of good entanglements in the bedroom, they develop a good relationship when things turn sour for Diana and Chris is the only person that can help her fight the demons from a mission gone wrong.
Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay were incredible as Diana and Chris.
