Summary
But is there any truth to this clever work of fiction? Brown makes the extraordinary claim that all the historical information in his book is factually true. Historian Bart D. Ehrman, an authority on Jesus and the early Church, reveals that Brown's book is actually riddled with historical errors. In witty fashion, Ehrman separates fact from fiction, delivering the truth behind the code.

Very Clear
Excellent and clear historical corrective to the bogus claims of The Da Vinci Code. Bart Ehrman reads his own scholarly work very well. Highly recommended.

Very interesting
I found the book very interesting. To hear about how the historians try to verify the gospels, and to hear about the less known gospels. And it was pleasant to listen to.

Possibly now dated
Dr Ejrman is on form again, intelligent, humane and rigourous. He makes a valiant attempt to rectify Dan Brown's assault on history but sadly his voice will be lost. Much better and more enjoyable than the Da Vinci code.

Gripping and honest account
This honest account of an SBS soldier really brought home just how much these people sacrifice. The narration wasn’t great - a bit stilted and some editing mishaps - but it didn’t detract too much from the overall quality of this true story, read by the author.

Fact or not.
Bart D Ehrman takes a look into Dan Brown's book The Da Vinci Code. Ehrman is a lecturer in Biblical studies and sorts the facts from the fiction in the Da Vinci Code in a way that doesn't "talk down" the book , which he has read and enjoyed as a murder mystery, but provides factual reasons about the book. Written and narrated by Ehrman , well worth listening too.

The facts behind the story
Bart reads this himself. He’s knowledgeable, as usual, and he puts complicated ideas into layman’s terms.
I highly recommend this, especially if you’ve ever enjoyed the book or film of The DaVinci Code. Bart gives the facts behind the scriptural ideas that are meant to be behind the DaVinci code.
