Summary
The King will fall.
While I continue my hunt for the Fae who killed my brother, I have to try to keep my heart away from the vicious boys who could be responsible for his death.
But as my investigation leads me down a dangerous road and answers seem closer than ever before, I'm whisked away to the elite school, Zodiac Academy, with the four Kings and my heart becomes more vulnerable than ever.

😱😱😱😱
Omg this book!!!! What an ending!!!
This is a reread for me so I already know what comes next, however I can still appreciate how good this book is and how painful it would be to have to wait to find out what happens next!!
This book is packed full of action, suspense, 🌶🌶, laughter. It is just sooo good!!!
The hotel scene with Elise, Dante and Ryder!!! 🥵🥵
I am absolutely loving the audio narrators! I feel so sucked into this world, I cannot get enough!

Secret disney super fan identity revealed!
Well ... that my soul complete crushed and my mind so frazzled and confused that nothing is going in. My brain has entirely disintegrated and has poured itself out my ears.
I loved Lance Orion's cameo even if he is younger and less grumpy and with how completely starstruck Leon is by him was just hilarious. The playful, carefree lion shifter is always there to lighten the mood and joke around making even the hardest, darkest souls soften. Including a certain dark souled, hidden disney super fan that was so surprising and yet fits his character so well. Leon with his easy-going nature has no problem accepting that Elise's heart is divided four ways, and unlike the others he's not making any demands on her.
Gabriel is on board with Elise, he's no longer fighting his feelings and has accepted that he wants her. However, like the jealous, brooding harpy he is he can't accept that Elise is in love with 3 other kings. Having been alone his entire life for very good reasons it's hard for him to accept Elise let alone anyone else. But if he doesn't remove his head from his backside and stop demanding Elise to change he will lose her, after all how can he love her properly if he wants to change who she is.
Dante and Ryder have the most character development, especially Ryder as we see a soft squishy side to him that gives you the first ray of hope for how he really could fit in with this unlikely group of men to worship their cherry scented lilac queen. And the new pet names Ryder has for everyone had me cracking up.
Elise is still desperately searching for the answers to Gareth's murder whilst trying to bring all her Kings together. Part of this story takes place at Zodiac Academy and it was so nice to go back and get their take on the place.
A certain evil green-scaled oversized iguana makes his own cameo in this book and it's just so strange to see him acting the same and yet still playing along as best he can for now.
A great book with some awesome audio narrators who bring the characters to life so well. I can't wait to start on the next book!

Fab narration
I like the way the narrators tell this story, their voices differentiate each character so that it’s easy to know who is speaking. Great story, made better by great narrators

fantastic narrators, story moving on well
What an ending, I certainly didn't expect that! I am loving this series, although the first half of this was perhaps a little slow, it certainly ramped up in the second half. The tension, danger and suspense increased, secrets were revealed and passion levels exploded as Elise got closer and closer to all her kings. With an explosive build up towards the end, are the kings finally accepting each other because of Elise? But wow, after that ending I have no idea how this will play out and we are still no closer to discovering the identity of Gareths killer.
We certainly got more into the heads of all the kings and I love how we are slowly seeing beneath their defences. They all offer something different and although they all have their a-hole moments, they are all growing on me. Could I choose? I'm not so sure the more I see.
I Iistened to the audio version and with chapters from six povs, the narrators are fabulous and bring these characters and world to life. Cant wait to read/listen to the next part

That ending!!!
That ending, I did not expect that. A twisted happy and savage end to the book. But it can't be the end, there is more!
So much happened!!! So muchhhhhhhhhhhh happenedddddddddd!!!! I laughed out loud so many times I got looks, and all I could think was... Oh, I wish you could read this bit or that bit, then you would be laughing too!!! But I guess I also suddenly went still with moments of fear or scowl with trepidation between the giggling to myself that got the looks. Because soooooo muuuuccchhh happened!!!!
Leon and his puppy like dreams and reactions to it brought awww and giggle moments. His inner monologue about Orion and a three-way 😂.
Elise, when she was high, and Eugene, purple badger and moon blind!!! 🤣
Spice (can't spoil this, but a MFM moment was soooo hottttttt), laughter, fear, thrill, sadness, and grief. I felt that and more, and I am all in for the next book. Bring it on!!!
