About this listen

Used to cold silence, Faith Night Star is suddenly being tormented by dark visions of blood and murder. A bad sign for anyone, but worse for Faith, an F-Psy with the highly sought-after ability to predict the future. Then the visions show her something even more dangerous - aching need, exquisite pleasure. But so powerful is her sight, so fragile the state of her mind, that the very emotions she yearns to embrace could be the end of her.

Changeling Vaughn D'Angelo can take either man or jaguar form, but it is his animal side that is overwhelmingly drawn to Faith. The jaguar's instinct is to claim this woman it finds so utterly fascinating, and the man has no argument. But while Vaughn craves sensation and hungers to pleasure Faith in every way, desire is a danger that could snap the last threads of her sanity. And there are Psy who need Faith's sight for their own purposes. They must keep her silenced - and keep her from Vaughn.

Wonderful 2nd in series

Angela Dawe is a good match for this series. Her narration really does bring the story to life.

Nalini Singh has created a world of two opposing belief systems which, of course, gets my mind going. Although the premise of the Psy system has been set up in a very believable way, I hope we never reach these levels. With the levels of turbulence in the world today - it might be something people would actually consider. If it was, I certainly hope it is never in my lifetime!

A genuinely good listen to an excellent story.

It just gets better.

Everything and more.

It's rare of me to love the second books as much as the first. I find in my experience with book series's that nothing quite beats that first book experience of feeling everything and everything being unknown. Yet I loved this one just as much as the first. I felt as many surprises and had so much to learn and yet there is still so much to learn.

This isn't my first time reading this series. I devoured it back in 2013/2014. However I feel like im reading it with fresh eyes and taking far more in now that I ever did then.

I love this series. A whole lot. As in one of the best pnr/fantasy series I have ever read. Just saying I've read ALOT because pnr happens to be my favourite.

This intricate world Nalini had built is ever growing and evolving with endless potential and that is beyond exciting. Her character are well developed with growth and relatability. Her plots are so well detailed with just the right amount of tension, action and surprise and that carries through the stories seamlessly. Honestly... this author is one of the best. A true talent for writing stories that completely consume the reader in a world of wonder.

Faith is a unique characters who intrigued me. She at first appeared naive and innocent to the world around her but slowly she grew into her strength and her potential was endless. I liked the raw honestly and the vulnerability in her character.

Vaughn is feral like in nature and there is something about this more animal than man man that set me on edge in the best ways. I wouldn't say Faith tamed him but she definitely soothed the beast and it was a real pleasure to see the hard dark man out of his element and helpless to her and his overwhelming need to consume her.

These two lit fire to the pages with their fiery chemistry and undeniable connection. It's slow building but boy it hits right and I loved the journey of them from nothing to each others everything.

This world is so interesting and we are but dipping our toes into the many ways it works and the inevitable downfall of the silence.
Things are about to get real interesting, that is for sure.

What a story!. Now on to the next.

Great read

Brilliant story loved every page.
Have already read all the books in this series have been buying them since they were first published. I wanted to read them again but holding up a book or iPad has become to much as I have rheumatoid arthritis.
I recently bought some iPhones and am now enjoying all my stories on audible thank you Nalini for putting them on.

Still not sure

This book is better than the first, but marginally. Not enough to go up to three stars. It’s Nalini Singh so the writing is good, but I’m just not connecting to the characters. In fact, I haven’t liked any of the main characters so far. I’ve purchased the whole series so hopefully it’ll get better as I am going to listen to them all. I’m looking forward to the next one as Judd and Brenna interest me.
The narrator has a lovely voice, but the way she narrates character speech isn’t the best. The characters don’t have individual voices, and I like individual character voices, and the way the women’s voices are narrated makes them sound like meek idiots. Maybe has something to do with the fact that I just can’t connect to any of them women, I don’t know. Onto book three.
