LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE:

Fan favourite characters - who also happen to be amongst the most monstrous killers in the galaxy - in a fight to the death against the aeldari, with the fate of the future on the line? Yes please.

The Story:

The hunters have become the hunted. The Night Lords flee to the dark fringes of the Imperium to escape their relentless pursuers - the aeldari of Craftworld Ulthwé. Their flight takes them to the carrion world of Tsagualsa, where their primarch died and their Legion was broken. There, history will repeat itself as a deadly assassin stalks the shadows, and the Night Lords are drawn into a battle they are destined to lose.

ADB does it again

I'm a huge Night Lords fan, gotta say that first. But wow, Aaron Dembski-Bowden really catches the feel of the night lords. And even though they're pretty evil, he makes them very loveable.
After listening to all three books, I'm now left with an empty feeling in my body because it was so good!

Masterpiece

This one is a masterpiece. I've bought 15+ WH40K audiobooks, and this is without a doubt the best I've heard. The story is great, and the combat is described in an entertaining way. I have to say, it does a great job of making you root for the traitor legions, only to smack you in the face with their unimaginable brutality, described in horrific detail. I knew chaos marines were evil, but I didn't know they were THAT evil. Their unspeakable acts are....unspeakable.

Half way through the book, I was enjoying the story so much I believed it was the final act, only to see that there was still five hours remaining and that says a lot. Andrew Wincott does a fantastic job narrating this tory, and hes one of the absolute best when it comes to creating a believable world with believable characters. I envy anyone that have yet to hear this masterpiece.

Is fate truly mutable?

The Night Lords sure are reprehensible.
This book is a great ending to the trilogy.

In Midnight Clad

What a fantastic story from book one to three with an extremely satisfying payoff at the end that leaves you ravenous for more.
I really hope ADB gives us a brand new trilogy in the future and also comes back with some short stories to tide us over.
This book and this series is definitely a must read/listen.

Best Trilogy

I always thought that the Night Lords were just edgy evil fuckers, with no depth. This trilogy showed me, that there is more under the surface than I thought, and it became my favourite trilogy so far from GW storylines that I’ve ever listened to. The narrator is also absolutely perfect for this type of story and the gallows humour is golden. 10/10 can recommend
