About this listen
Anidyr Bycall is frozen in her past, regretting words never spoken to the woman she loves and the one impulsive act that cost her all her dreams. Running from the courts of public and academic opinion in Fairbanks, she has landed in Key West. The nights are hot but she is colder than the glaciers she once explored.
Tending bar by night, she spends her days immersed in the research of her only remaining passion in life: the ice fields of Alaska. But trends may be improving when news from home hints that those she harmed may have moved on, and she can at least recover the papers and books she left behind. The respect and affection she once saw in Eve Cambra's eyes is gone beyond recall.
When a few innocent questions raise Ani's doubts about what really happened three years ago, she realizes she may have a chance to clear her name and reclaim her career. But there's no data to suggest that Eve has thawed and that the fire they once shared can be rekindled.

lesbians in science, ice and Newfies, *sigh 😍
One of my fave books ever. Clever sciencey people making then living with dumb life choices. Thank goodness for second chances and a crack-team of scooby doo lesbians who finally work it all out. Love Karin Kallmaker and AbbyC, its the perfect combination.

So good
I am in love with Abby Craden, she has an amazing voice. This was a great story, with hot characters, thank God lesfic characters don't know how to communicate because each book would only be a few pages lol

Loved it
An interesting and engaging story, likeable and believable characters, excellent dialogue, brilliantly narrated, in fact a thoroughly satisfying experience.
I intend to search out more books by this author, heartily recommended to anyone who values a cracking story along with the romance.

Melting hearts
I nearly skipped to the end as the tension was mounting but just as it was getting too much it started to get sorted. Lisa, thank you.

Karin Kallmaker has written a little gem whith warm, believable characters, lots ice, laughs, a touch of angst and a psycho-bitch ;-) too. This is a heart warming tale that I will definitely enjoy coming back to.

A Great Read!
A really interesting story. A lot of research must have been done which gave the story depth. I loved the characters, particularly Lisa, who was annoying at fists, but really grew on me and was pivotal in the plot. Both Ani and Eve were lovable and Abby Craden’s narration is just sublime - there is truly no one better.

A good one from Karen K
I enjoyed this. The story was engaging and interesting; mistakes, misunderstandings and misinformation and a love that stands the toughest tests. I liked the main characters Ani and Eve but to be honest my favourite character was the perky and forthright Lisa.
I also liked learning a little about Alaska and glaciers).

Loved this
I enjoyed this so much it was difficult for me to leave it be. The characters pulled me in. I loved being part of this journey. Excellent writing from a wonderful Author. I am drawn to an excellent story which this is!
Abby, I can't find any other voice/narrator, that is so capable of making each character so individual. You are so skilled in your craft and an absolute must in my book.

Good read
The reason I like Karin Kallmamer is that added to the “romance” there is usually an interesting idea which tells me about something I don’t know. This was a case in point.

Slightly different in Alaska
I liked that this book was slightly different than other books I have read thus-far. Also, any book with camping has me hooked.
so I recommend giving it a listen
