This was one of the quickest audiobooks I’ve listened to as I couldn’t stop listening. I was totally gripped, as another reviewer on here said, I’m not a lover of missing children books but her review made me give it a go so I thank her.

This book was from a debut author and was excellent and very well narrated. I can’t wait for Lia’s next book as I’m now a huge fan.

Totally gripping!

Had to speed first few hours up to 1.5 very long winded and nothing happening. Good descriptive writing though and I didn’t expect the ending

So slow

I really enjoyed this book. I thought I’d sussed it part way through then found out I was wrong. The story was really interesting and I can imagine it’s terrifying for those in that type of situation so can imagine it being quite realistic.

For me, the narrator was fantastic. I’ve listened to far too many audiobooks where the narrator really ruins the story.

I’d certainly recommend this author and am looking forward to future books.

First audiobook I’ve finished quickly for a while

A good premise with lots of twists and turns however it felt like it was being dragged out and could probably have been curtailed by at least an hour or more. I guessed the outcome so began to get frustrated towards the end.

Good, if a little drawn out

I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t stop listening.

Will be checking out other book from this author.

The narrator did a great job too

Really good read

Got up to chapter 22 and only a couple of real plot points, so the pace was just a bit too slow for me. It’s a shame as I liked the concept. Good narration though!

Too slow for me

Loved this book. It covered so many aspects of life, from fear, complicated relationships, mental health, grief, denial, betrayal, remorse, forgiveness, justice and redemption. Great narration too. Highly recommended.

Gripping book throughout

Brilliant story, brilliantly read. A must read or listen. I didn't want it to end

As with most psychological thrillers, readers are required to suspend disbelief to a degree. However, what I liked about this is that the protagonist *knew* she was making ridiculous decisions that no sane person would make. For some reason, it made me feel better that every time she did something even more jaw-droppingly stupid than the last stupid thing she did, she thought through and acknowledged just how ridiculous it was. It meant I could just mutter ‘Right?!’ instead of exclaiming ‘OMG who would even DO that?!’ and wonder darkly if the author thinks their readers will go along with any old nonsense. And Charlotte Ritchie’s narration is so fabulous that she makes the character and her motivations very credible. Well worth a listen.

Intriguing, well-told story
