About this listen
Meg Michaels, a bookstore owner, has already walked away from two cheating exes. She's learned her lesson and has her mind set on success - until she gets knocked up. Embarrassed and unwilling to discuss her situation with friends and family, she wears layers to hide the pregnancy.
When Meg gets sick at a party, she's mortified. Even worse, Theo Taylor, the guest of honor, discovers her secret. Theo, an Army medic wounded in the war, agrees not to reveal her condition, and the two forge a bond of friendship that blossoms into love.
Theo is soon filling all of Meg's late-night cravings - and not just the pregnancy-induced ones. But can their love overcome all the obstacles that stand between them and creating a happy family?

A delightful book and listening experience.
A delightful book. The Claire Ashby has elegantly balanced pure escapism with a few potentially difficult and heavy situations. The characters felt real with real issues. I especially enjoyed how the story sweetly concluded with all the challenges addresses without feeling overly idealistic. For a debut novel, very well done. Piper Brown narrates the story well, with a peaceful lyrical quality that makes the listening experience enjoyable.

A great listen and highly recommended
I really enjoyed this story.
This is Meg and Theo's story, they are both very determined, strong characters with painful pasts on a journey of love, forgiveness, and healing. This story was easy to relate to, the characters are deep and likable.
Claire Ashby is now on my must read list of authors!
Piper Brown did a great job narrating and really brought the book to life.
