Summary
It's the day they've always dreamed about. But will it turn out to be a nightmare?
Bel is in the midst of planning her perfect wedding when disaster strikes and everything she thought she knew is turned on its head. Can she hold it all together and, with the help of her friends, and a mysterious man she meets unexpectedly, turn disaster into triumph?
Bel's friend, ice-cream parlour owner Violet, is engaged to Glyn, who is besotted by her although Violet fell out of love with him long ago. But however trapped she feels in the relationship, she can't quite say the words, 'I don't want to marry you anymore.' Then, just when she's about to give up and resign herself to married life, she finds love in the most surprising of places. Will duty rule her heart or will she allow herself to be swept off her feet?
Max was planning a quick registry office do with her fiancé Stuart until she sees a TV programme about traveller brides and becomes determined to have the most extravagantly glitzy wedding ever. But in all the excitement has she lost sight of what's really important? Does she want the wedding more than she wants the groom?
And as all three friends find the dress of their dreams at the White Wedding bridal shop, its owner, the lovely Freya, guarantees that her gowns will bring them happiness - though maybe not quite in the way they expected …

Brilliant!
I love all of Milly Johnsons books in fact I'm re listening to them all. It's amazing what I've picked up the 2nd time round. I love how all of the books I've listened to are all stand alone books but they all have connections within them, like the odd mention of characters within other books etc and of course Colleen Prendergast is as amazing as ever as the narrator. I couldn't recommend this enough.

Pure escapism
After just finishing a gruelling 30+ hour dull novel, I craved some easy listening, escapism and this surely delivered!
For some reason, I thought this had been written over 10 years ago as the references to ‘gypsy weddings’ is quite dated. Nevertheless, this was pure unrealistic, guilty pleasure listening and was exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommend this author and narrator duo and have listened to many of Johnson’s previous books. On to the next one!

Hilarious
If you like weddings and the lead up to them , and laugh out loud moments, you will love this. So easy to listen to , and the characters were really brought to life by the narrator. It's a story of weddings and what can go wrong , don't want to give too much away, and I really enjoyed it .

Great story
One of Millie’s best, thoroughly enjoyed this. Was happy to hear Freya was back, will we ever know her full story, ( I won’t say what happens, don’t want to spoil it!)

Very good enjoyable listen. But slightly annoying in places.
I loved the journey, it’s great when Milly’s stories follow several people as it really keeps me interested. I felt like I really knew all the characters quickly, I don’t know how Milly does it!!
It was annoying in a few places though, especially Stuart’s toxic fragile masculinity.

Funny with just enough serious moments.
Loved the humour in this book. Some of the one liners made me laugh out loud.

A Brilliant Book
I'm never disappointed with any book by Millie Johnson. This one was another success.
All the characters were different together with a story of twists & turns a plenty.
I would definitely recommend it.
