About this listen
An unabridged Agatha Christie mystery, featuring the young adventurers Lady ‘Frankie’ Derwent and Bobby Jones.
While playing an erratic round of golf, Bobby Jones slices his ball over the edge of a cliff. His ball is lost, but on the rocks below he finds the crumpled body of a dying man. With his final breath the man opens his eyes and says, ‘Why didn’t they ask Evans?’
Haunted by these words, Bobby and his vivacious companion, Frankie, set out to solve a mystery that will bring them into mortal danger…

I have always been a fan, but this was the first time I had listened to an audible performance, it was truly magical 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Who is Evans and who is the victim was he pushed or fallen?
These are the questions Bobby wants answers to but little did he know what he was getting into. A very intriguing storyline with lots of twists and misdirection really good audio book

This was a really good period piece and a rambling but well thought out tale. Thoroughly enjoyable and quite credible too - although not, perhaps, the confession at the end - but who knows?
I don’t recall ever reading this novel previously, although I am an Agatha Christie fan, I grew up with her books in my early teens. I may have missed this one, but quite probably, I’ve grown into this story and am unlikely to forget it. A good read..
A very good standalone piece.
