Gritty and brilliant!

BUT unless book 3 is re-recorded and narrated by Hattie it is unlikely I’ll be going on with the series. Why change the narrator through a series…

Binged listened

This one was just as good if not better. Domestic Violence was depicted as a side story which did make it difficult at times for me as someone who lived through it though.
Overall I loved the way everything worked out and am about to start the 3rd of the series

I thought the first of the series was good…

It was a little slow to start off with, but was a very good listen overall.

I enjoyed the first of this trilogy and this one is just as good. Karen is a great character and the setting is wonderfully described. Good plot and narration too. I’ve immediately bought the next in the series.

Really good

Really enjoyed this book. Narration was perfect and brought the Doggerlanders to life. Deep characters and challenging plots, up there with the best.

I love Doggerland

Doggerland seems quite real, in the way it is described. Karen is a great lead detective and her quirky ways & life are full of interest.
We have really enjoyed the first two books and I'm now downloading the third one.

A tangled tale of excitement that resolves in the end.

The main policewoman and her colleagues. Life on Scandi- like islands. The food descriptions. The slow telling of many interlinked stories.

Atmospheric picture of life in Doggerland

If you liked the first book in the series then there is plenty more in this one to like. I really enjoyed it. Especially the ending.

Excellent book with satisfying end.
