About this listen

Hot on the heels of the New York Times best seller William Shakespeare's Star Wars comes the next two installments of the original trilogy: William Shakespeare's The Empire Striketh Back and William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return. Return to the star-crossed galaxy far, far away as the brooding young hero, a power-mad emperor, and their jesting droids match wits, struggle for power, and soliloquize in elegant and impeccable iambic pentameter.

Something Wookiee this way comes!

Yes.

Took a little while to get my head round the lines; but it’s worth it. Two words. (Small spoiler) Singing rancor . Totally worth it; it’s brilliant

Quirky fun

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely fun, quirky, & fairly quick

What did you like best about this story?

If you're a fan of Shakespeare you'll recognised the homages. Similarly if you're a Star Wars can. But is both this becomes even more entertaining. A book the for the seriousness of most of the source material doesn't take itself to seriously & that makes it a really fun read.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Performance is perfect for Shakespeare but with just the right amount of tongue in cheek to suit this story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely. Quick, fun, & an easy listen
