The incomparable Detective Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte is back - and now he must solve one of his most baffling cases.

When Bony sets out to investigate two bizarre murders at Wirragatta Station, deep in the Australian Outback, all the odds are against him. The crimes were committed a year before, the scent is now cold, and any surviving clues have been confused by a bumbling policeman.

As Bony gets closer to the trail, the mysterious murderer sets out to stop him. Can Bony stop the killer first?

Another excellent 'Boney' story

If you could sum up Winds of Evil in three words, what would they be?

Good as ever

What did you like best about this story?

I like the pace of the 'Boney' books. the stories always 'run' well and the narrator is excellent

What does Peter Hosking bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I read many of the storiies years ago and enjoyed them. Peter Hoskins brings the stories alive.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Neither - but it kept me listening. I didn't want to miss any of it so used head phones so I didn't have to stop it.

Excellent story enhanced by outstanding narrator.

Arthur Upfield's Bony novels are all cracking good tales. Peter Hosking is outstanding: he makes great books even better. I especially enjoy his low key reading, and his local accents add so much color to these stories. Can't recommend them highly enough.
