Summary
What do you do when you know your world is about to shatter around you? Do you run toward the change or try to hold on to the broken pieces so that everything doesn’t fall apart?
I knew it was coming. We’d had time to ready ourselves, but nothing could have prepared us for the fall out. No one warned me our enemies would make me the pawn in their game. No one saw just how broken I would become.
Now it’s up to me to pick up the broken pieces and wield them against the ones who made me this way. Believe me… they are all going to pay.
This audiobook is part of the Shadow Walkers Saga. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, but will contain spoilers to the first books in the saga.

Fallon and Colt!
Fallon is a witch who is still learning the full scope of her power. She is close to her family and the relationship that she and her best friend Remy share is more like sisters. She has had feelings for Colt, her best friend’s brother, but despite the attraction between them he doesn’t believe they could ever be together.
Colt is a Hunter who has been taught by his Dad that he must stay within his own species which makes Fallon off limits. When Fallon becomes caught in the crossfire in a battle that she isn’t part of it will force Colt to face his feelings for her especially since the experience has changed her.
The storyline is unique, the characters are compelling, and I really enjoyed the relationships that Fallon and Colt had with the other characters as well as each other. I listened to an audio copy of the story and enjoyed the way they brought out the personalities of the characters and the emotions they were feeling. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Apocalypse??
This was an intense story, there is so much going on, with Fallon & Colt, and even more in the background. This one would definitely be enjoyed more if you read all of the correlating books in order, but overall it’s still a good stand alone.
Definitely leaves you needing to know what’s going to happen next.

Paranormal Romance
Witch's Curse by Sloane Murphy is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Elise Hoffman and David Black. This is the first book in The Shadow Weaver series.
The beginning of the book does states "This series is part of a bigger world but can be read as a standalone series." I have not read the Shadow Walker series yet and I would personally recommend reading it before starting this series. I say this because the book felt really choppy in the beginning where we were getting recaps from the events that happened to Remy in that series. But once we moved on to what was happening to mainly Fallon and Colt it because easier to read and I didn't feel like I was missing information.
The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn't a surprise since it's the first book in the series. I look forward to the next book in the series Hunter's Heart to be released on audio so I can get more of Fallon's story.
Elise and David did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

Witch’s Curse
This is the first book I’ve listened to from this author. This book is listed as a standalone that can be read away from Sloane’s other books. However I must say the first half of this book I was completely lost as the book jumped frequently. My recommendation start with the other series first. This book is full of action and has a decent storyline. The narrative team really made this book for me.

Amazing PNR!
Sloane Murphy does it again! Witch's Curse is an excellent start to The Shadow Weaver, a new and exciting paranormal romance series, part of the Shadow Walker Saga. The story is wonderfully written and well-plotted with a totally appealing cast. The world-building and the premise are creative and imaginative with fascinating and unique supernatural components. The recap is smooth and efficient; it helped gather any missing information, so it can be enjoyed as a standalone series. Fallon and Colt are super interesting and captivating characters; I enjoyed every minute of their story and can't wait for the rest.
David Black and Elise Hoffman portrayed the characters flawlessly. They captured the nuances of the diverse and colourful personalities, bringing the story to life. Overall, The Witch's Curse was a fascinating and highly enjoyable paranormal listen, one I'm highly recommending.

it was ok
not the best book by sloane murphy. unfortunately many things were rushed and i just could not get into the story much because of the narration. i really don't understand what elise hoffman was thinking by giving that accent to the main FC. it put me off the whole listening. but the story itself is good. i would just rather advise you to read it rather than listening it.

No dull moments
I felt this book had something going in from beginning to end. It was fun to get snippets of the side characters’ stories. I enjoyed this listen and felt that the narrators did a great job bringing dimension to the characters and the story .

Where to start?!?
This was a very enjoyable book. With complicated characters with lots of issues it’s so much more than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed the way the story flowed. With an amazing performance from both Elise and David.
