About this listen
We all know the benefits of healthy eating, but in practice, it’s often just not compatible with a busy, working lifestyle. Grabbing food on the go between meetings, before you rush to the gym, after catching up with friends - there’s just not enough time to be fussy - what you eat often takes a backseat.
But what if that didn’t have to be the case? What if what you were eating actually gave you more time: boosting your productivity, increasing your focus, and ensuring that you didn’t fall victim to that daily 3pm energy slump?
Productivity and nutrition experts Graham Allcott and Colette Heneghan present a new way to think about what you eat: the Productivity Ninja way. A new book in the best-selling Productivity Ninja series, Work Fuel shows you how eating well can and should fit into your lifestyle, however busy it is. From surviving conferences and work trips to how to best put together your food shopping list, Work Fuel provides you with an investment plan, promising to improve your performance, focus and energy by changing the way that you eat.

A book I will listen to again
I selected this book as I had already read the Productivity Ninja and enjoyed it and this book did not disappoint and works well as a tool to get you on the right track with your nutrition. the 5 and a half hours flew by and I will probably nip into the book again and again definitely recommend it and like a lot of audio books I have tried to listen to the narrator Antony Shuster is easy on the ears.

Practical and no-nonsense. Loved it!
This book offers clear, concise, and no-nonsense advice with a strong emphasis on practicality. I loved it. There is also no shaming or guilt-tripping if you end up with no food prep or eating out. And there are clear instructions on what to eat in those cases. Food seems to be made to be such a big deal these days - go vegan, go paleo, go keto etc. It's confusing and overwhelming. This book helped me shift my view of food - it's important and it matters, but it does not have to be a big deal. Consistency over intensity.

Nothing new, but well presented anyway.
I'm going to return this book.
It isn't bad, in fact it's quite well narrated, but it just isn't of any benefit to me.
That's because of where I'm at, but whether you will benefit will depend upon your own personal starting point -- I'm already experienced and knowledgeable with nutrition, and as such this did not present me with any new information.
Also, I have been vegan for 6 years and not eaten meat for 15 years, and this book only vaguely mentions the benefits of avoiding animal products -- which, btw, are all unnecessary for good health. Yes, it includes information on eating a predominantly plant-based diet, but it still incorporates animal products in a way I personally deem as unnecessary.
That said, however, for anyone who is living a fast paced lifestyle and doesn't know where to start, or lacks proper food education, this will undoubtedly be a great place to begin.
There are also a few exercises in the book, which I personally didn't enjoy hearing and had no intention of carrying out; I listen to audiobooks when I'm walking, running or driving, and as such these tasks always irk me somewhat.
The narration kept the book interesting, and if you are new to nutrition, or want some semi-decent ideas on how to improve your diet, then don't listen to my personal negativity as this book will certainly be of benefit to you.

Good, but needs reference material
Good ideas for a novice like me when it comes to nutrition, and it has changed the way I look at sugar. The lack of reference material is a glaring error though - am I supposed to flick back through the audio book for breakfast recipes? Why isn't there a cheat sheet?
Oh there must be a website you think, but it doesn't work as I currently write this review.
