About this listen
As a WWE wrestler with millions of fans, Shawn Michaels had adulation and all the attention he could ask for, but he found himself longing for something more. When he became a committed Christian at the height of his career, Shawn learned what it's like to be a man of faith in a secular arena.
Wrestling for My Life documents Shawn's journey to finding a new way of life - one that's marked by faith, family, and forgiveness.
As you watch Shawn's testimony unfold, you'll learn about:
- The power of self-discipline
- The importance of finding a supportive mentor who challenges you to be the best version of yourself
- The freedom that's found in true forgiveness
Critic reviews
"Shawn's greatest challenge came from deep within himself, and it's been awe-inspiring to watch this man pull himself from the depths of his own personal hell by immersing himself in his faith in God. I couldn't be more amazed at the man, husband, father, and friend he has become." (The Undertaker)
"Shawn's story is an important reminder of life's priorities and how we choose to use our given gifts. While I work with Shawn outside of the wrestling world, I can still strongly attest to his perseverance, passion, and humility. These pages offer an inside look into how he found strength for better change." (Jeff Wayne, Executive Vice President Programming of Outdoor Channel)

1) I was less interested in his wrestling because I have seen and heard all of this before.
I was closed minded to religion until before I heard this biography and now, less so.
HBK turned my head and turned me towards Casting Crowns and Dr Dobson.
2) It would help if the narrator knew the subject matter better or how to pronounce some names. It's clear that he is not in know. But he grew on me.
His cadence is of a story teller.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Very good insight into the rebirth of a man with self admitted issues. What did you like best about this story?
Very honest and open book with an extremely feel good factor story. Even the negatives had a positive spin.Which character – as performed by Daniel Butler – was your favourite?
I liked the narrator as he sounded like he belonged in WWE. This went a long way to my belief and understanding of the book. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The whole book has made me look at my own life in a different light. You do not necessarily need to hit rock bottom to make changes to your self.Any additional comments?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It's obviously a different take on a different point in Shawn's life, but not my favourite. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I was a bigger fan of the wrestling references than the story of his faith, but I did understand that was the purpose of the book. How could the performance have been better?
I wasn't a fan of the reader. A very heavily accented voice, and considering the book is largely written in the first person, it grated. Was Wrestling for My Life worth the listening time?
No. It felt incredibly long to listen to.Any additional comments?
I may have preferred the physical book.Obscure vocal choice
