“Don’t fall in love with me. I know you will.” “I hardly see that happening. Where did you come up with that?" Fall in love? I’m not made for that. I’m just trying to keep her alive at this point. She’s drawn the attention of the wrong man. He likes to leave them scattered in pieces once’s he’s bored with them. And now I got saddled with her. Love? Yeah right. She’s a troublemaker through and through. Yet I find myself attracted to her. Why do I keep entertaining the idea of being with her? In the end, I know I have to let her go. So I do.

I was at the top of my game. I knew who I was and what direction my life was headed. I owned the most prestigious night clubs down the east coast yet I kept my identity a secret. I don’t like being in the lime light and my hometown was none of anyone’s business. However, making people happy was. I did that with my clubs. Until the day tragedy struck my family. I had a choice to make and it wasn’t an easy one. At the end of the day, family always comes first. I went home to take care of my mom and the ranch.
