A great book
~I was given this audiobook in exchange of an honest review~
Carmen's New York Romance Trilogy starts with hotel maid Carmen being mistaked for a hot call girl by Kurt at an expensive hotel suite in NY. They ends up having hot sex several times but the real call girl shows up and of course Carmen leaves both her job and NY.
Kurt can't forget Carmen and he tries to find her.
At the same time the story flashes back and forth between Carmens past and the reason why she's on the run, uses a fake name and why she's the perfect submissive and her time after leaving Kurt and NY.
When Carmen comes in trouble with the DEA she turns to Kurt for help.
Kurt will do almost anything to help Carmen but between the DEA's investigation and Kurt's determination to do whatever it takes to help her can they find a way to be together?
Another reviewer said this: "My only issue with this one was that the ending seemed a bit rushed...not that I'm complaining about the end the villain met...but I thought perhaps a bit more space could have been given to wrapping things up." I totally agree on the rushed ending.
It a BDSM and submissive story. But even though the sex-part when Carmen was captured was rough and evil, it was never too much to listen to. The sex-scenes was amazingly written, it wasn't sex for the sake of sex. It was part of the story, it's shows the emotional connection between Kurt and Carmen and it tells the story how Carmen became the perfect submissive.
The audiobook was narrated by Guillaume Dubois. He did a great job being the storyteller and the men in the story, but when he portraits the Carmens voice and thoughts his voice get very annoying and girlish. He has to find a better voice for girls :)
