About this listen

Ginny’s 30th birthday is shaping up to be the worst ever, until her best friend Ryan takes her to the Way Down Under, a new sex club she’s been dying to visit. Too bad Ryan refuses to let her see anything but the club’s tasteful bar.

Sneaking off to explore, Ginny is busted by Ryan in the Voyeur Room. But instead of taking her home, Ryan intends to teach her a lesson - and immediately commands her to strip. Stunned, Ginny obeys and embarks on a night unlike any other. From shattering orgasms in front of strangers to light bondage, Ginny endures hours of sexual ecstasy, made to succumb again and again to her wildest urges - all by her best friend.

After hiding from Ryan the rest of the weekend - resulting in delicious punishment in his office on Monday - Ginny discovers emotions in their lifelong friendship that may have been there all along. She doesn’t know if she can convince Ryan of the same…but a bit of "sweet" bondage might help.

Editor reviews

Office manager Ginny Brooks grew up with her workmates at the engineering firm of Travers, Taylor and Anderson, and so when poor Ginny gets ditched by her boyfriend right before her 30th birthday, her best friend Ryan Travers steps in with an invite to the new, super-exclusive sex club Way Down Under. Ginny is excited - until Ryan makes it clear he intends to keep her in the tame front room. But when Ginny sneaks into the Voyeur Room, Ryan calls her bluff, commanding her to strip - making for a wild night that will forever change their friendship. Provocatively sexy, Sugar and Spice benefits from Aisling Conaway's sweet-natured performance, which allows any listener to imagine herself in Ginny's skin.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sugar and Spice to be better than the print version?

Sometimes it feels that the audio version has been re-edited and the tones of the performer doesn't quite match throughout the book

What did you like best about this story?

The emotion and the conflict of the characters are well performed.
Almost feels like a listening to the people in the booth behind you. You the people talking arguing and you pretend that your not listening but you so are....

Did Aisling Conaway do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

The narrator performer of the audio dialogue was great all the way through. You can tell which characters are talking just from the change of tone. But for the monologue inbetween dialogue very same tone, and sometimes the story could be missed, if your not paying attention.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At some points I found myself laughing, specially the flash back stories.
