Catherine is an author, psychotherapist, and former NHS strategist dedicated to creating spaces where stories can be heard. She is the founder and host of “The Late Discovered Club,” a social impact podcast and community that amplifies the voices of late-discovered autistic women and marginalized groups. Launched in December 2022, the podcast has reached a global audience in over 125 countries and was ranked the number one podcast for ‘Female Autism’ by FeedSpot in 2023. With over a decade of experience, Catherine has worked with hundreds of individuals, offering 1:1 therapy and post discovery support circles. Her practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, experience-sensitive, and deeply compassionate approach, specializing in supporting late-discovered autistic individuals through autistic burnout, chronic illness, relational grief, and trauma. In February 2025, Catherine published her first book, “Rediscovered,” which she wrote while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Her upcoming book, “When The Body Says Enough,” scheduled for publication in 2026, will explore burnout and chronic pain among late-discovered autistic women. Beyond her therapeutic work, Catherine collaborates with various organizations as a trainer, consultant, and speaker on topics including inclusion, women’s health, neurodivergence, autism, and mental health. Her recent work has included developing content for and delivering the groundbreaking NHS National Autism Trainer Programme to mental health professionals, guest lecturing at University College London, designing and hosting a panel discussion to 7,500 people online for Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and serving as an associate with AT-Autism both in the UK and internationally. She has a Degree and MSc in Psychology, a Diploma in Effective Psychotherapy and CBT, along with a PGCert in Leadership, and is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Asta (which means ‘divine strength’) is the middle name Catherine gifted to herself in her 30’s to honour her strength, her danish heritage and her love of all things scandi.
