About this listen
Surely something so temptingly wrong can’t be so deliciously right?
A Runaway Bride....
Bookish, brainy Lady Olympia Hightower should be elated she's marrying the ‘catch' of several London seasons. Her large spendthrift family certainly is! And yet, Olympia finds herself sneaking out the chapel window, in a mad attempt to escape her glorious future as a duchess.
A Duke in Pursuit....
Virtue was never a virtue for Hugh Philemon Ancaster, Seventh Duke of Ripley, but even he can see his duty as best man requires him to recapture the fleeing bride, and return her to the bridegroom. But with every one of Olympia’s clever turns, he’s finding it harder to give her up.
A Matchmakers Dream....

"Overflowing with Chase’s signature wit and laugh-out-loud humor.” (Romantic Times)
"One of the finest romance authors of all time." (Julia Quinn)

Funny and an easy listen
The narrator was very good, and the story was light, but the best element was the humour.

A delight from start to finish
I only started listening to Historical Romances a short while ago, but in that time I have listened to a variety in this genre. This book is a delight from start to finish, no pages upon pages of graphic sex, but not without an under currant of desire and some sex, There is also a good portion of humour in the book which was a great surprise and well written. The usual saying is don't judge a book by it's cover, obviously this dosen't hold with Audible books, but I do judge an Audible book by the narrator, the narrator can make or break a book for me, but Kate Reading gives an admirable performance of narrating the book, and the 11hrs 12mins just fly by so quickly, that I wished it was longer, yet wouldn't know how it could be improved.

Fabulous
A fabulous period drama. Wonderfully written and beautifully descriptive. A laugh out loud book, not for the Tube, as you may get some strange sideways glances! Loved everything about it. Just starting her next novel.

Laugh out load- Brilliant
The writing was masterful. It has to be to allow you to enjoy it so much you don't want to stop listening. Truthfully, I laughed out load in parts. It's a story that brings joy. I save my credits for must have books and I loved this one so much I've used up a credit and if it's half as good as this one it will be money well spent.
Also the Narrator was perfect!

There was something missing
A bit bland but an easy listen. Maybe it was too predictable. It lacked depth

This is a great, quirky story!
I really enjoyed the interaction between the two main characters (and also the supportive bromance).
This is currently part of the Audible Plus Catalogue. The story is written and narrated so well, that I intend (am intrigued to) purchase the next in the series “10 Things I Hate About the Duke”, which is Ashmont’s story, which just HAS to be as equally entertaining, if not more!

Delightful
Thoroughly enjoyed this delightful story. First time I have read anything by this author, I will certainly read more. My only gripe is with the fact that Americans seem to have lost the words ‘fits’ and ‘fitted’ and replaced them with ‘fit’ an occurrence that grates dreadfully on my ears, especially when the book is narrated in an English accent.
