About this listen
A Home in Your Heart is book two of the Love in the Old West series of historical time travel romances set in the 1800s.
Harriet (Harry) Ferguson is engaged to be married...unhappily so. All she truly wants is a forever home, something she has never had.
On a visit to her fiance’s mother in southeastern Arizona, she stops by a museum on historic Fort Huachuca, an army post dating to the late 1800s, where the wax figure of a handsome cavalry soldier captures her imagination - so much so that she can’t resist touching the figure.
Lieutenant Daniel Thorn’s duties at Fort Huachuca involve chasing renegade Apaches and Mexican bandits. One night, while on a mission to rescue stolen horses, Daniel’s duties are expanded to include the rescue of a young woman who mysteriously falls into his desert campsite.
Given that Miss Ferguson does not appear to understand where she is or what has happened to her, Daniel suspects amnesia and takes her to the fort surgeon. But Harry doesn’t have amnesia. She remembers fully well where she was when she must have traveled in time. And she remembers Daniel - her wax figure somehow come to life.
Can a modern-day woman like Harry find a forever home in the late 1800s? Can Daniel, a 19th-century cavalry soldier, finally come to believe that Harry has lost not her memory, but her heart? That she has traveled 130 years into the past for him?

Sweet Time-travel Listen
A Home in Your Heart by Bess McBride is a sweet and clean time-travel romance. I loved the setting of the desert southwest and could envision so many details. Michelle Babb was fantastic at bringing the characters to life. I loved how Daniel thought Harry had lost her mind (not her heart). This story was definitely a feel good listen.

Loved this book
I loved this book. I have always been a fan of good time travel stories and this one was really good. I enjoyed the characters and how the story played out. I thought the characters were believable and their actions as well. Though I am not sure how I would react if I woke up in another time and another place. I liked "watching" their romance develop and blossom into something special. I liked Tall Joe too...he was an interesting character. I have listened to several books narrated by this narrator and always enjoy the way she brings a book to life. I would be more than happy to listen to more books she reads.

What a fun listen
This is not my usual genre but I do love anything narrated by Michelle Babb. This was such a pleasant way to listen on a Sunday afternoon whilst relaxing and I really enjoyed it. The story itself was different but so much fun and I did really enjoy it, the different character voices worked perfectly.
Again not something I would have picked up but I am really glad I did.
I was given a free copy by the narrator but the review is entirely my own.

Sweet romance
I enjoyed the first book in the series so thought I would give this book ago. I did enjoy it but I preferred book one. I think that was because it went into more detail about the time traveling and In this book it just happened and she was stuck there with no hope of going back. The characters were also different from the first book so it took me a little while to get into it because I was expect the previous characters to be in it but other than going back in time the stories are very different, even the method. It was fun listening to what it was like back then and the romance that blossomed was sweet. The ending was a bit predictable but it was fun getting there.
Harry (Harriet) has found that she would much rather fantasize about a wax figure than dream about her fiancee. Getting engaged was the biggest mistake of her life that is until she touches the wax figure and is teleported back to the wild west. The handsome man the wax work model was fashioned after Lieutenant Daniel Thorn nearly trips over her when she suddenly appears in his camp. Out in the desert is no place for a lady especially as he and his men are hunting Indians, that stole some horses. They have no choice but to return back to fort so she can seek medical treatment for her amnesia, there is no other explanation for her odd behaviour. Can the pair over come an Indian attack, the promise of marriage and there differences to be together and find a home in each other's hearts?
Michelle Babb once again weaves her magic to bring the characters to life and creates and entertaining little world that you can get lost in.

Heartwarming story, excellent narration.
Romance isn’t normally a genre I read but I do love westerns and time travel stories so I gave it a chance.
Although predictable, the story kept me entertained and the epilogue was especially good. I listened to the audiobook version and the narration was excellent, and I’ll be looking for other audiobooks narrated by Michelle Babb.

An old fashioned Western romance
Quaint characters. Traditional values. Chaste love (bar a couple of kisses) and some interesting history in the background. This book delivers on all of these. I was a bit disappointed in the time travel aspect... this didn’t really seem to feature at all in the story. No contrast of attitudes or ‘learning to live in history’ challenges to be overcome. Overall, it’s well-narrated with good intonations to keep it interesting. If you’re looking for a historical romance with a twist, look no further. I received this audiobook for free in exchange for a review.

even better than book 1
i was given a free copy of this audiobook to review. here are my thoughts: I loved every second of it. a cute clean love story. the carachters are one better than the other. once again no real villain here and it made the reading very smooth and pleasant, just like book 1, if not more. the narrator once again did a brilliant job, the accents, the tone, simply a brilliant performance.
