Enjoyed this emensely you have sympathy for Felix throughout. He quite literally has the world in his hands

Much the same which is on no way a bad thing

The book is in the same series as 16 Ways To Defend a Walled City, which was somewhat better. The ending of this one address what happened to the citizens after that one ended. But 16 Ways was maybe funnier, maybe it was more varied as the main character interacted with more types of people. It still had very nice military scenarios with setup and solution. Possibly the character, this time a translator, was a bit duller. Still I managed to finish the book, which is more than can be said about lots of books lately.
