Not my favourite

I’ve read pretty much all of the books and this wasn’t my favourite although the ending was beautiful. It dragged on slightly and as others said Jess was incredibly whiny. But it does make sense when listening to her back story. I did enjoy the book though and will carry on reading the rest of them. The narrator started to grate on me when doing her children’s voice but she does bring to life each character.

Absolutely amazing

Loved this book just as much as the last 3, loved the fact we delved more into Jess’s life and how we could also follow the lives of all the other midwife’s, it was fabulous from beginning to end and I cannot wait for the 5th instalment

Another wonderful book by Jo Bartlett

As with the other three books in the Cornish Midwives series, I absolutely loved this book.

I enjoyed getting to know Jess a little more, she has had a difficult childhood and marriage but has come through the other side. I really wish she wasn’t so hard on herself, she’s a very likeable character. I’m so glad that she and Dexter found each other.

It was also great to keep up with the lives of the other midwives and get to know Izzy a bit better. I really hope that Jo writes another in this series focusing on Izzy’s story. It would also be lovely to see how Ella’s wedding goes and the birth of Toni and Bobbi’s baby.

A feel good page turner.
