The Seven Kingdoms are divided by revolt and blood feud, and winter approaches like an angry beast. Beyond the Northern borders, wildlings leave their villages to gather in the ice and stone wasteland of the Frostfangs. From there, the renegade Brother Mance Rayder will lead them South towards the Wall.
The men of the Night’s Watch are ready for the coming of a great cold and the walking corpses that travel with it. Great book. Compelling read. Some of the voices: ?
This is one of those books that you simply cannot put down until it's finished.
The only issue I have is that, as good a voice actor that the reader obviously is, some of the voices do not match what we know about the characters. This, however, does little to detract from the storylines.

gripping!!
I loved the TV series, and was sad when it ended.
so I started reading the books.
but it occurred to me then, that I was not a book worm. once I found audable, I was thrilled to see game of thrones was here! I have loved listening!
the performance from the narrator is second to none and ofcourse, the story its self is absolutely brilliant! 10/10 will recommend to everyone!!

Oh for the love of accents...
I absolutely love Roy Dortrice. As a narrator he's bought the other game of thrones books to life. Only before have I slightly flinched at his pronunciation of Petyr and Bryenne. The story I can't fault, and with an epic such as this I hoped that old Roy would have used a pencil and a notebook to remind himself which accent was which.
Jamie was south walian in the last book. He's RC in this one. Arya has gone from posh to pish and Littlefinger goes all Blackburn and Andy Capp mod book. Really grates by the end.
Won't stop me from listening to a dance for dragons but according to my better half he's made Dany Irish on the next one 😬😬😬

The character voices were racist
I didn't like the way the reader did the characters in the previous books, but in this book they were racist. Missandei had an outrageous Chinese accent saying "glace " instead of "grace " and the slavers had outrageous Indian voices. I think that was disgraceful, but the story itself was fantastic as always. This is a great series of books and I highly recommend you read them
