Fantastic, just need book 2 now!
I chose this book because RC Bray was narrating and he's not let me down so far.
It was a great choice.
The story flows and develops as you'd hope, five stars!

Honestly when I got it didn’t expect much, just knew it would be a Good listen since it’s Jason Anspach and J.N. Chaney… Added bonus one of my two favourite Narrators R.C Bray was doing it, gave me starship troopers meets armored core feels, Maybe a hint of Drop Trooper, I like the Main character, The crew are good, The plot is leading somewhere and holding enough back your like NEXT BOOK NOW, hoping to see Billy a bit more fleshed out since even Kristoff got more fleshed out towards the end, The Colonel damn good, Brigs MOCOM AI Ja Ai… Chefs Kiss, Looking forward to the next book

So I don't often review a book, or series but this one needed a review, I loved it! This is a 2 Author's and a performer that have got the formula just right! I love these guys and have a bunch or their collaborations So without even reading it was on the wishlist just because I know they will deliver an entirely new and entirely great listen.
It's the first in the series so I was expecting a more background and build up, which set the characters up nicely. The damaged veteran returning to service is nice twist and doesn't feel over done for the sake of being over done. He is relatable and likeable from the go.
I really enjoyed this and look forward to seeing the next one!!

Great story, the hours flew by. I normally run into these kind of series when there is 5+ books out so comping at the bit now for book 2
