brilliant, changed my life
I listened to this audiobook because my anger was having an effect on my relationships and I needed a solution. I am so grateful for this audiobook, I have learned that Anger does not have the power to control me. I have come to the bottom of why I get angry and where it comes from and thanks to this book I feel I have more control over it and over my life in general. This book taught me techniques I can use in my every day life to control my anger, I am more aware of my triggers now and can control them before I explode. I have learned from this book that there is always a way out, so every time I get overwhelmed, I now stop, breath and access before I react. I especially found the "cool down kit" to be the most helpful out of the whole book. I use this in my everyday life now.

Useful strategies to manage explosive anger
Understanding what triggers your anger is paramount in getting it under control. I appreciate that the author dedicated a whole chapter to Identifying Triggers. I also like her approach of bringing in mindfulness to help manage anger. I had never heard of a Cool Down Kit, but it made so much sense. She did a great job in describing the usefulness of a Cool Down Kit, how to create it, as well as what to include in it. Useful resource.

Helpful and practical
As I have gotten older I seem to be getting grumpier. Now in my 40s I have anger for seemingly no reason, this book helped me not only figure out why I feel this way but also helped me to understand the triggers and to step in before I react to something. I appreciate the cool down kit discussed and I look forward to implementing what I learned. I will definitely be re-listening to this again to make sure I get it all!

It works
This audiobook is amazing. It’s full of eye opening info about out of control emotions, like the four stages of anger, and the surprising habits, plus the strategies work as well! It includes CBT too, and I found the personalised cool-down kit particularly useful. I would recommend this book.
