A Game-Changer for Frustrated Parents!

Anger Management for Parents by Emily Giles is a transformative listen for parents looking to improve their approach to discipline and family dynamics. This audiobook offers practical tools to recognize and manage anger constructively, making it feel like a superpower rather than a burden. I loved the breakdown of the “4 stages of the anger cycle,” which provides a clear roadmap to identify and control my reactions. The concept of “calming the inner reptile” is eye-opening, showing how rewiring automatic responses can strengthen bonds with my kids. I also found the child behavior strategies very effective—especially understanding the reasons behind misbehavior and handling public meltdowns.

Giles’ insights make it easier to avoid taking my kids' behavior personally, allowing me to respond with patience and empathy. This audiobook is a must-listen for any parent ready to model calm, resilience, and connection in their family life.

great guide for a challenging mission for parents

Keep calm and cool is sometimes so difficult as a parent. I would definitely regret if i over reacted a bit, but sometimes it's just that hard to keep my cool. But i feel very inspiring after listening to this book. It helps me to understand how kids think, and why do they do those behaviours which i might feel annoying sometimes. I think it's very important for mutual understanding. Once you understand them, it's easier to find the solution accordingly. so i really recommend this book for parents.

Game-changer for me

As a parent, I know firsthand how overwhelming things can get. There have been plenty of times when I felt like I was losing control and didn't know how to handle my emotions, especially when the chaos of parenting takes over. That’s why Anger Management for Parents was such a game-changer for me.

This audiobook really opened my eyes to the fact that anger isn’t the enemy—it’s how we manage it that counts. The book breaks down the anger cycle into four stages and gives practical tips on how to reframe your reactions. I never realized how much my automatic responses were impacting my relationship with my kids. Instead of exploding in frustration, I’m learning how to step back, breathe, and use that anger as a signal to make things better.

One of my favorite parts was the section on understanding kids' goals when they misbehave. It helped me stop taking things so personally and see the bigger picture. Now, instead of feeling guilty or getting stuck in a shouting match, I’m finding ways to connect with my kids more effectively.

The narrator was easy to listen to, and the advice felt both relatable and doable—nothing too complex or hard to implement. I also appreciated the focus on long-term solutions, like changing the way we think and creating healthier habits.

If you're a parent who feels like you're constantly battling frustration or struggling to manage your anger, I highly recommend this audiobook. It’s full of useful strategies that actually work, and it helped me be a more patient, understanding parent. Definitely worth the listen!
