About this listen

“It’s you, it’s you, it’s all for you. Everything I do.”

On a 28-day #NoFap streak and riding the high of self-discipline, Todd Stevens is ready to spend the summer break stacking wins. No distractions. No degenerate urges. Just pure, unadulterated focus.

Then a punk from a rival school steps into his path — not to fight, but to deal.

He's got a video.
And not just any old video.
Not some low-value OnlyFans reject Todd could find on an Instagram doomscroll.
This one’s exclusive. Private. Personal.

Because the girl in the video?

Todd knows her.

“I heard that you like the bad girls. Honey, is that true?”

Curiosity cracks resolve. And with three long, empty months ahead, Todd’s monk-mode summer spirals into obsession, tangled with angst and teenage ennui. Every pixel. Every frame. Every glance toward his windowpane.

He tells himself it’s under control.
He tells himself he can stop.

But how do you break free when your worst impulses are the only thing holding you together?

A raw, unsettling coming of age story about longing, where obsession shapes the beloved in your mind — until the cracks begin to show.

Soaked in shame, obsession, and Lana Del Rey.

“They say that the world was built for two.
Only worth living if somebody is loving you.”

Note from the author: tribute. is a story inside the anthology, left on read. If you're looking for the ebook version you'll find it there, which is also on Kindle Unlimited.

An emotionally charged and powerful listen. Teenage impulses, obsession - all quite disturbing at times. Nicely narrated, great pacing. Not my usual genre but found it quite hypnotic in a way.

I got pulled in by this. It's dark and edgy. The narration by the author feels raw and personal and suits the tone and the writing is has some real emotional heft. It's tightly paced, gripping, unsettling and I think this will stay with me for a while.

This story hit harder than I expected. Todd’s struggle with control, desire, and identity felt brutally honest and painfully familiar. The writing captures teen obsession in a way that’s both uncomfortable and real. Some moments dragged a bit, but overall it’s a sharp, emotionally charged ride through shame and longing.

"tribute." is a masterful and unsettling exploration of the human mind's capacity for obsession, particularly during the vulnerable period of adolescence. This audiobook grabbed me from the start with its premise of self-discipline clashing against an irresistible, private temptation. Todd's journey into a consuming fixation, driven by a single video, is depicted with an almost visceral intensity that makes you feel his internal struggle and descent.

it’s a slow-burn descent into obsession, isolation, and inner conflict, all filtered through the haze of shame and longing. This isn’t a feel-good story. It’s not clean or pretty. Highly recommended

This audiobook absolutely nails the messy, intense feelings of being a teenager. The way the protagonist's summer spirals from self-improvement into a consuming obsession is incredibly well-portrayed and genuinely unsettling. You feel the pull of his curiosity and the shame that comes with it, making for a truly raw and authentic coming-of-age experience. The narrative really captures how easily focus can shatter when confronted with temptation and the struggle to regain control.

Tribute. offers a compelling and unflinching portrayal of adolescent obsession and self-discipline unravelled. Told through the lens of Todd Stevens' summer descent, the story captures the raw emotional currents of youth — shame, longing, fixation — with unsettling intimacy. The narrative voice is hauntingly evocative, steeped in cultural references and the suffocating solitude of teenage intensity. While not a light listen, it is beautifully constructed, layered with psychological nuance, and unapologetically honest. For those drawn to introspective coming-of-age fiction, this audiobook challenges and resonates in equal measure.

It dives deep into teenage obsession, shame, and the struggle to stay in control. The writing is vivid and really captures how easily curiosity can turn into something darker. At times, the story felt uncomfortable, but that’s part of what made it powerful and honest. The narrator did a great job bringing out the emotion and tension in every scene. Overall, it’s an intense and thought-provoking listen. I would recommend it to anyone who likes gritty age stories that don’t shy away from difficult topics.

This story felt personal and hit deeper than I expected. Todd’s journey is raw and thought-provoking, even when it’s uncomfortable. I was really drawn in. The only downside was the poor audio quality, it was distracting at times.
Still, definitely worth the listen.
