About this listen

After the Renegade mission by the crew of the starship Flying Dutchman, the UN Expeditionary Force thought Earth was safe for hundreds of years, at least.

After there was trouble on the home front and the president had to authorize a nuclear strike on an American city, UNEF decided they did need the Merry Band of Pirates again.

So, the Flying Dutchman is sent out on a simple recon mission. But for the pirates, nothing is ever simple, and their mission will become Armageddon.

I waited ages for this book and finished it within 1 1/2 days. Next please. Highly entertaining and highly recommended. RC Bray is just superb. I can’t understand how he manages some of the intense parts with multiple people and the emotional content. Hurry up with the next one - no pressure 🙃

If you haven't listened to the other books yet then get going!!! Another magnificent performance from RC Bray, giving real life to each character. The story and narrative not only follows the delightfully well worn groove of Skippy and Joe, but also adds depth again in the supporting cast. More please!

Language gets very repetitive and it ruins it a little for me. It's a fun book though, but I don't laugh as much as I did earlier in the series

Liked the story, characters, performance overall a jolly good listen, if all audiobooks were this good I probably wouldn’t read anymore which would be very lazy of me. Got to listen to all the series seems to get better and better in my humble opinion cheers enjoy

Another great book. I was worried that it was going to start going stale but Craig Alanson has smashed another amazing book. Fast paced in parts really funny. and for me a 1st an incredibly sad part. For me the Expeditionary Force series are the type of book that you get lost in. Massive fan right here.
