I enjoyed listening to the narrator, very nice tone to her voice. I listened as I read along with the physical book. Would listen to it again, one day!

I really struggled with this book, the main character is selfish and although trying to sort through her grief she hurts others.
The last few chapters as it all comes together is quite narcissistic and I kept having to stop listening.
Yes we want a happy ending, but this was all about her and everyone adoring her.
Too much.

I’m a big Mhairi McFarlane fan and downloaded this as a “fill in” until her new book is released, not expecting much. Can’t believe it - what a find! This story was warm, witty, hilarious, heartbreaking, gripping. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait to download more from this author.

In some of Henry's other work, the characters feel like characters, moving through the novel as if by the nose - particularly in Funny Story. This is the first one I've read of hers where I felt not only seen by the lead, but some of their interactions very closely mirror conversations I've had with my actual wife. These characters feel much more like real messy people than any of her other work and it's the first time I thought 'oh god, what if they don't make it?!'

I loved the characters, and their conversations were relatable and funny. I laughed out loud more than once (something I usually don't do).

Wish I could unread it, just to be able to read it again. And again.
Performance was really good too.

This is the first of Emily Henry’s books I’ve read and I’d definitely try another. I warmed to the characters and it was a nice easy read. I found myself wanting a bit more of the back story though. Overall would recommend.

I loved this book and Julie Whelan's narration is impeccable as always. But Brits be warned - in Chapter 8 there is the use of an ablist term which while offensive in the UK is generally not considered in the same way in the US. It took me completely by surprise so leaving a warning for others!

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this when I first started listening - again I struggled a little with the American narrator. But was I got into it I found it an easy listen and a good story.
