About this listen
Twenty years ago scientists made some remarkable discoveries with genetics and the ability to perfect the babies we gave birth to. Ten years ago the governments of the world made a hard choice: Earth or people. Nine weeks ago the choices they made came full circle. Fourteen days ago the truth of their mutations leaked out into the borderlands and other areas. Yesterday the worst thing they ever made learned about what she was. Today she's coming for them, and she knows about the strengths they gave her. Tomorrow she plans on destroying everything. She plans on starting with her own creator. Her own father.

Great series 🌟
I downloaded this from the Plus catalogue and absolutely loved it - I was gripped from the start. Great storyline and I really enjoyed the narration.
Couldn’t believe the whole series was freely available! Would definitely recommend.

Good story
Great story, narrator is great…….but please, the teenage love\angst with Will nearly drove me mad! It’s an amazing idea for a story, but everything has to do with her love/hate with Will…..arghhhh

Great 2nd installment
The history of the virus and Emma's past come to the fore, great story again. Will be following onto the 3rd as soon as I finish.
The way the writer has shown that some people will always revert to the least pleasant aspects of humanity is perfect. Whether that's ignoring the needs of others, misogyny, racism etc it is unfortunately, probably quite close to the truth of how some would react. The fact that Emma, after being alone for so long, doesn't fall into these ways is brilliant.
I know some dislike the teen romance way of her being. But again, the psychology of it fits after lacking normal human contact for most of her life.
I do hope the final book can come to more resolutions though. As good as the storyline is, it is frustrating that so many of the twists could be seen as a way to drag it out to book 3.
